Your Office Gets The First Word

But what does it say about your business? Ideally, it says: “Welcome new clients to a modern, innovative business! Please, don’t worry about costs, we are successful enough to be able to cater to all your needs. With our expert team and upgraded tech, your contracts are in great hands here.” On the other hand, it might say: “Sorry, we couldn’t afford an impressive office space, and we’ve saved money on second-hand tech. We want you to feel comfortable, but unfortunately, our central heating has been playing up lately. Don’t worry about those papers across the desk, that’s just an overflow of contracts.”

As you can see then, that first impression is important. So, let’s get it right from the very beginning.

Choose The Location Carefully

Your location says a lot about your business. If you are running an office in the middle of a city that suggests you have the resources to be able to pay for what is undoubtedly an expensive property. You can also choose a location that is going to see a lot of foot traffic such as the city center. You might find that you get a lot of clients walking in off the street if you find a location such as this. The alternative possibility is that you cut costs and purchase a less desirable business property in a location that may well be in the suburbs. Don’t forget, there are tricks you can use to make the business seem more impressive. For instance, you can get a virtual number for your company. With a number like this, it can seem like your business is operating from a major city, even when it isn’t.

Think About Curb Appeal

Think about what your business address looks like from the outside. Is it attractive, stunning and stylish? Does it look modern and well maintained or run down and neglected? You should spend a little time dressing it up. One of the best ways to make your business exterior look more impressive to clients is with lighting. You can get great lighting features installed that will draw more attention to the property. This is just one possibility. Another option to consider would be adding a unique sculpture or piece of exterior art outside the office building. Anything that is eye catching or impressive should be considered.

Get The Right Tech

We’ve talked about technology already. By investing in the right tech, you easily make your business look modern and impressive to potential customers. The type of tech that you choose is up to you, but we’d certainly think about getting the right computers in your business office space. For instance, you can think about upgrading all your computers every one or two years. You might also want to think about adding some tech to the waiting area or reception. This will ensure that you make the right impression straight away.  For instance, flat screens showing some of your products is a great way to immediately get customers thinking about purchases.

As you can see, your business office is incredibly important and says a lot about your company. You need to get that first impression right.
